A PERSONAL NOTE FROM BARRY
Self Port 2005
Asking for What We Need
Decide what it is you want and need, then go to the person you need it from and ask for it.
Sometimes, it takes hard work and much energy to get what we want and need. We have to go through the pains of identifying what we want, then struggle to believe that we deserve it. Then, we may have to experience the disappointment of asking someone, having the person refuse us, and figuring out what to do next.
Sometimes in life, getting what we want and need is not so difficult. Sometimes, all we need to do is ask

What a great thought.
Fear takes so much energy away from our best intentions.
Artistic Thoughts For Self Awareness
Current Oil Painting Project
I have currently set forth the following goal:
To fully master the concept of value, composition, form, volume, and focal
points, without the use of color.
For me, at this time,
color does not belong in a painting; it is simply a tool. It is the physical
characteristics of the paint, when used correctly in its simplest form that
can create the illusion of an object. It is also important to separate the
focal point from the composition within the painting. . .

but it feels so free.
She caresses my soul,
but burns like a flee.
So when the flee shall die,
thus shall the past.
Throw a kiss toward my new wife,
to create time and end this track.
A forerunner to Thomas Kinkade, Albrecht Durer hawked his wares by designing and producing popular prints that appealed to the masses . . .
Reality places various boundaries on the mind that never
reflect the true gift - but few souls are able to jack in.
